Christmas Day - change of plans!

So we had a great Christams morning starting with the kids sleeping LATE! Travis apparently threatened them within an inch of their life last nght if they came out of their rooms so this morning at 7, we went to check on them and they were sitting in their beds awake, just waiting for us! Ahh, the power of Christmas!

Then, we checked the weather as tomorrow is supposed to be departure day. Apparently the greater Raleigh area is preparing for snow-pocalypse 2010 (3-6") and so we decided to change our flights to Newark to TODAY. This decision has resulted in frantic last minute packing, cleaning, undecorating the house and getting the tree out. So, we literally rolled the tree out to the curb at 8:30 this morning. I am sure the neighbors are laughing at us.





While Travis and I ran around like chickens with our heads off booking last minute hotels, cleaning up toyys, taking out the trash, doing dishes and laundry and shutting the house down, the kids were a GREAT help (see picture below).



So, its official, WE ARE ALL PACKED and ready to go. Had to get a picture of all of our luggage. How we will get this all through the airports I have no idea, but I can proise you it will be an adventure!

Tonight we will be in Newark (I know you are all jealous) and then we will be flying to amsterdam tomorrow evening. Not sure what we will do all day tomorrow but I canbet it will have something to do with wreaking havoc in the hilton and swimming in their indoor pool.
