Holiday Cookies - First Batch

So we kicked off the holiday season by making our first batch of cookies - sugar cookies with purple sugar on top. I know they are the simplest to make but my kids LOVE these the most. Of course this involved licking the beaters (at the risk of contracting salmonella poisoning from the raw eggs, but this is what it's all about, right?!)
